Where has my child gone?

One small step for man, one giant leap . . .

So my small steps were slightly smaller than I anticipated, barely outside at all in fact.
I am sorry I let you all down. . . . But let me explain.
It wasn’t through any form of agoraphobia before anyone starts worrying, no no it was the fact that I have clearly not done enough weightlifting before I arrived!

48 hours in . . .

I have been here for a couple of days now and I think that it is finally starting to sink in that this is it, this is my home, its where I am going to live for the next who knows how long. Its the start of a new chapter, a new beginning, so many possibilities , blaa, blaa, blaa.

So why do I feel so sad!

It is a weird feeling, Stephen is due to go to work tomorrow and then I am basically on my own, let loose on the unsuspecting Melbourneese (is that what you call Melbourne residents?) Read more…

Journey of a lifetime

So after the mad dash down to the hospital,  we said our goodbyes and then made the next mad dash to Heathrow.
When I attempted to weigh my luggage before we left, they were so heavy that they bust my  weighing scales, this did not bode well for my luggage allowance. I knew I was overweight (no wise cracks please) so I was a bit concerned that they would charge me for the excess baggage, thankfully though she didn’t, I think she was a bit preoccupied by the Bear sat high up on my back pulling my hair and probably felt sorry for me!

So we were all checked in and once we said our tearful goodbyes to my family farewell committee we were off on our journey.

No stopping us now I thought as we went through the fast track security lane  and disappeared from my family’s view.

Or so I thought . . . . . !

Family Ties

I am an Auntie at last, woop, woop!

Samuel Sean finally arrived safely on Wednesday  25th July – the day I flew to oz.

Gorgeous little Samuel is perfect and gorgeous and so tiny, a perfect little bundle. I just love him to bits.
