From Fat to Fit – Week 5 (21.01.14)
This week I managed to fit in quite a lot of exercise which I felt good for doing but it did tire me out a bit more than I thought it would.
I am going to listen to my body and if I feel it is too much then I will pull back a little. I don’t want to do too much too soon as that will only set me back. My aim is to make consistent gains even if they are very small ones rather than go at it hammer and tongs and whack myself out completely.
My ‘Mummy Motivator’ workouts this week
Full circuit 5k brisk walk round the lake in total.
Broken up into sections
Brisk walk 1.5k
5 X squats raising arms above head holding each squat 10 seconds
20X press ups on bench
Balance combination 1 foot in front 1 to side 1 to back with eyes closed. ( can keep eyes open) – much more difficult than it sounds!
20xwalk pulling out back leg and squeezing buttocks
20x walk pulling leg to side
20x walking lunge
Repeat stationary circuit X3
Brisk walk to complete lap of the lake.
Repeat walking circuit to finish 5K
Brisk 1.5K walk
10X Wide arm and wide leg press ups on bench
10X Narrow arm and leg press ups on bench
10X squats hold 10 seconds each
10X lunges right leg
10X lunges left leg
10X tricep dips on bench
3 way balance (as above – eyes closed)
Brisk 1.5K walk back to beginning
Family walk around Botanical Gardens
Fast running friend joined me on my workouts this week, which was good as I don’t feel quite so stupid doing it on my own and it makes me work harder and make sure I am doing it properly.
You may note I haven’t posted my stats this week
because the numbers haven’t changed!
Not really it would be quite boring posting them every week and a week isn’t long enough to see a change so instead I will post my stats monthly.
